Neighbor directly across the street has just acquired (within the last month) two very large 100 lb’ish dogs. These dogs are mean. Ive gotten home from work at 1am and stopped at my mailbox. They immediately begin growling and theyre easily 50 yards from me at the street. Ive never seen them on a leash. So today while at work, the wife texts me and says while walking from our front yard (which faces the neighbor with the dog) to the back, she heard something. Turned around and saw one of the dogs following her. She picked up our 6 lb dog and ran inside and it followed her all the way to the basement door on the back of our house.
So I can call animal control about this since no one was injured. Will that do anything for me legally if I ever need to draw on the dog? Showing prior incendents. I dont want to kill the dog but I do not play with 100 lb growling dogs that are not under their owners control. Ive lived here 7 years and so have they and not once have they ever waved or offered to talk. These people live like thugs and just topped it off by acquiring two blood thirsty dogs.
