When I called about mine I got the same answer it will be 6 months and when I got somebody on the phone again they said it was Approved on 2-23-2015 but this was last week when I called.

Are you notified in any way when the stamp is sent to the weapon holder? I'm only 5 weeks into a form 4 submittal.
The processing time is just a way to discourage more people from requesting them, along with the $200. They sure do cash the check quick though.

Yea they do. I mailed a check on the 26-27th and it was cashed on the 30th.
Damn newbs ruined it for everyone. I'm one of those newbs! 
You could try and email a examiner... Last time I did "ask the expert" on eForms, they emailed me back with a status. I wouldn't do that tho, my status update was a special case so that's why

Im a newb too. I wish they had the E-file working for form 4's.
I should leave a voicemail and say "since you guys aren't taking status check calls anymore, you could set up an online check. Obviously only the person who filed the forms would know the serial.".
I'm so happy we have so many new NFA owners. That's the road to repealing.
You would definitely earn a seven month wait.....
