Avoiding smoke of shot when night hunting??

hey odt'ers,

I've been trying to kill some pigs on our south ga farm and have found an issue. After the first shot at night I can't see the group due to smoke from the shot being lit up by my flashlight... I'm trying to find a way of getting around that. Has anyone had the same experience and found the answer!? I'm shooting a Ar15 in 223 with a surefire led light mounted at the end of a 15" hand guard. I'm thinking maybe a muzzle brake might help??

This can work too, but practice so you can make a humane shot. As you probably have experienced light through a scope at night can be blinding.

I usually end up doing this stuff by myself. I'm running a eotech and a magnifier and it works great so far. I'm sure the pigs will learn to run when the light comes on but for now they don't even pay any attention to it.

Bucket have you tried that bushnell??

Hard to accomplish without a suppressor and/or thermal.

The best thing to use is a feeder light over bait.

Had same problem w/nv don't have it with suppresser.
