background check: delayed

Same here. EVERY TIME! I have the most common name on planet earth so I know why it happens in my case.

No it cant, with a gwl they dont make that phone call, the licence is your backround check. You just have to fill out the form so they have it on record if the atf ever audits them. It only happens if the dealer is stupid and doesnt know the law, in which case find a new one

Correct. GA Firearms License exempts you from the background check, as it represents that the holder has successfully passed GBI, FBI & mental health screenings. I've had mine for 17+ years and in that time I have bought many guns through FFL's and never once had to submit to a background check. The FFL just photocopies my GFL & DL and attaches it to the Form 4473. And I walk out the door shortly thereafter with the gun.

I went to one store that said 11 different people with my same first and last name were convicted felons but tried to buy guns anyway.

Delays can happen if there's a lot of background checks going on as well, it's happened to me

well i KNOW my background is clean, ive bought several guns from cherokee before. just today was a delay. even for me.
