Backyard Chicken Farmers

I built mine out of all donated materials. I would be in for around $700 otherwise. The prefabs are great for grow out pens or for sick bays but otherwise they are a little on the light duty side. If you are in metro Atlanta come by TSC in McDonough on the 27th. The chicken swap will have a ton of information and birds.

Im in Canton area, do they have them at other TSC's

You could make the drive and call it an ODT M&G. Nob0dy Nob0dy the_great_white the_great_white @tazfxrp and @mtn-marine along with about 8 other members are all customers. As far as swaps go it's all up to each location whether they do them or not.

if you go down there and buy something, CliffB CliffB will do the chicken dance for ya!

i won't be able to make the one this weekend, but i'm hoping things will work out to make the one next month.

I may make the trip just to learn a few things, the wife wants to wait to get chicks till easter for the kids

I am wanting to get chickens this year since we now do not live in a neighborhood and have a little bit of land. I am trying to decide on a coop, all the pre fab ones have bad reviews, are they not worth the money? another option I pondered was getting an 8x8 shed and modifying it into a coop. any thoughts or advise would be appreciated
Look on pintrest for ideas. You can get an idea of costs and its all free. Tsc would be the last place to get a prefab coop. Way to expensive. Look on craigslist. People want to get chickens for kids or cause tgey are preparing for shtf or whatever then loose half the chicks and ditch thier stuff. See it all the time. Ive tried several dif batches and between dogs and impaction lost most of my chicks. Try ordering from a breeder
