Well I went to the TSC but the minimum is 6 and I only wanted 2 more BR pullets so I guess I have to wait till the swap meet. My wife's friend gave me a number of a local lady that sells hens that are already laying so maybe I will luck out. Gonna build the coop Sunday. We put the chicks on the grass today and they loved it.
If you notice them start to eat the blades of grass you need to introduce chick grit into their diet. Treats can begin around 3-4 weeks but once anything other than Starter/Grower crumbles have been introduced the grit is needed. If they scratch around in the dirt for a bit then they will get their own grit but otherwise a small bag will be all you need until they are older and in their coop/run.
Did have one nest underneath. Glad I saw it before they saw me.
