These seem to be a favorite of the preppers on here and I have several on my Amazon wish list. This one has been discounted 26% over the last 4 days!!!!! Other Baofeng radios on Amazon have been discounted as little as 14% so it does vary.

I haven't taken the plunge yet. I'm not real knowledgeable on the radios yet, and don't have an amateur radio license yet. But this might be too good a deal to pass up.
