Best 9mm? Do you agree with this list?

You took my input. The Browning Hi Power is as fine a shooter as I, myself, have ever had the pleasure. It is an honor for me to be able to take mine to the range and stretch it out.

But as far as the list.....put up a poll of the top 10 cars, steak houses or movies. Its all subjective and there is no RIGHT answer.

Fire at ranges that have rental guns and find friends. See what works for YOU.

I am sure thats not the answer you were looking for, but it's the one I gave. LOL

I've never fired a CZ...but it looks like I will have to now !! Dammit

The CZ 75 is a great pistol! They are used by many armed forces and police units overseas. I cant confirm but according to wikipedia, it is also used by delta force. I can see why those are number 1 BUT they left out many other fine pistols. I did not see a single HK even on there lol

doubt that....seriously, you dont believe that do you??

Did some of ya'll miss this part:

The rules: The guns must be great shooters, reliable, good quality, and cost less than $600 USD new from a gun dealer. The $600 rule will exclude many fine 9mm pistols and competition guns. If you don't agree or have other choices, you can sound off in the Guest Book. Enjoy.

And the GLOCK 17 is #7.

Its used by a lot of other armed forces. I dont see why not. Like I said in my first post, I cant confirm. Not everything on wikipedia is tip top.Id take a CZ 75 over that beretta 92 any day though.

For the money I think all those pistols are fine choices.

Here's another list, apparently without price restrictions.

No surprise...Hi Power is #1. And there's the SIGs, GLOCKs, and HKs, all in the top 10.

I think I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Taurus PT92.

Im not going to lie... I HATE taurus handguns but I owned a pt92. Never had one single issue out of it. I had the pimptastic stainless with gold accents and pearl grips. It ran like a champ. So, that is still a fine choice. Plus they are priced right.

I've had two other Tauruses...Tauri? Tauren? Whatever.

Anyway, PT145 and PT1911. Ended up selling off both, but not because of any problems with the gun. One of the mags on the PT145 was a little funky, but after loosening up, it worked fine, also. I just couldn't get used to a system different from the SIGs I've been shooting and carrying for years. Will probably end up getting another PT1911 sooner or later.

I've heard nothing but good stuff about the PT92. And the fact that you can decock it and carry it DA/SA like a SIG is a bonus. It probably won't be something I carry all the time, but it's going to be cheaper to shoot than my P220 and, hell, it's been a while since I had a 9mm, so it's about time, anyway.
