Best All Around Autoloader Shotgun

FYI, the newer Brownings finished in the Dura-Touch camo have lawsuits against them. My brother has one. You will fall in love with how well the grip feels and then over time it becomes super sticky.

I agree, Benelli is where it is at for hard use 12 gauge. A browning A5 that hasn't been screwed with is a great choice for the owner who is willing to perform a little maintaince, and who appreciates fine feel and lines.

I've hada few Benelli M1's. No matter what I put in them, light bird shot or 3" slugs. Never an issue. I bought one for $500, and the other for $550.

M2 is an updated version of the same. Montefeltro is a version of the M121.

The Stoeger M3000/ M3k is made by benelli and is considered a no frills benelli. Maybe a little rougher, but the same action type and seems to be well regarded in the 3 gun world.

FN SLP MK1. Gets it done. My go-to-war shotgun. They can be had for under $1000 and they are beasts. Will defend your house, hunt deer with buckshot or rifled slugs, hunt turkey, and win turkey shoots with proper chokes installed. You could hunt bird with it in a pinch. Now if your mainly bird hunting, go with the Benelli or a Browning. If you want a budget kick a$$ semi auto, go with a Mossberg 930 (JM model is great), or for the 3.5" shells, a Mossberg 935.
