Spanky's on River Street has great burgers and chicken fingers. Their "fries" are spuds... unbelievable. Also Trailer Parc is a cool little place with good food. Check out on Yelp

Huey's is always good for brunch, and the beignets are always good. We tried a place called a.lure last time we went for dinner. A little pricey but an interesting spin on southern comfort food.
