Black powder only revolver

The Italians first started doing copies of black powder pistols back in the 1950's. Remington never made one in Brass back in the 1860's. In today's world that's called a "Fantasy" gun. The Italians like to make lots of those. Another example of that is they made a Colt Model 1851 in .44 cal which Colt never made. As stated above, the fact that it says Black Powder on it means it's a modern pistol made sometime in the 1950's and later.

Neat pistol to shoot and especially since it has been in the family awhile. Proof marks should be somewhere on the pistol unless they've been removed.
