Well this is unusual....we've had a helicopter circling just out of view since just after light. It leaves for a little while and then will come back and start circling again. Only heard 3 shots so far and I'm wondering if someone wasn't shooting at that helicopter lol. It's definitely annoying.
Haven't seen any deer yet but I've been distracted by the donuts. Sorry Mark the coffee is all gone...I've been filling up a few Gatorade bottles that's for sure.

I haven't heard the first shot or done any shooting. Time for some 4 legged dinner to come on by!
Saw a really small deer around 7:50 and a small 3 point around 8:50. Hoping something much larger shows up around 9:50.
Just to be controversial on this fine morning. My stand location makes it difficult to approach and not get winded, so this year I bought a cheap ozone generator just to see if it helped. I treat my clothes with ozone the night before I hunt and dress in the field. Anyhoo, about an hour ago I had a large doe walk 30 feet to my right from upwind to downwind right down the path I walked in on. At no time did she wind me. I know it's early days, but there just might be something to this new fangled technology.
