Soaking me up some fresh Okra in Vinegar for 30 minutes to reduce the slime then it will be rinsed and boiled!
After soaking and rinsing, I'll dump in the pot of cold water with 2 teaspoons of sea salt and set it on a hot eye.
Bring it to a boil and boil for 3 or 4min until tender and drain.
Dump it back in the pot with 1/8 stick(or more if needed) of butter on low heat, roll it around by swirling the pot until coated well.
Goes great with a beer!
Enjoy your not so slimy boiled Okra.
PS. Dont waste that vinegar. I pour it up in my vinegar jug I use to make my nontoxic weed killer with that kills better than toxic roundup. Chickens hate roundup.
