In my Adventures I picked up a decent size lot of forend which I believe R4 a Browning a5 semi auto possibly Japanese or Belgian. It has this weird cap on it that does have a patent number which I traced back to Browning in 1930.
If any of you guys can help me out it would be appreciated they appear to be for a 12 gauge but the forward portion has definitely thrown me off...
Tell me what you think these appear to be all takeoffs and I know there's not much of a market for them here on ODT but of course I will offer one at a discounted price

On the lighter note I was told they were for Mossberg but I could not find anything on the internet

Could the metal ring possibly be a support peace that is meant to be removed? I do have a copy of the original drawings from 1930 that were submitted to the US patent office
