BUC-EE’S - A Story of a Hard-worker American!

When we lived in Houston, we went out to San Antonio for a weekend. I remember seeing signs for miles for Buc-ee’s. We pulled off to see.. and I looked at my wife and said “ it’s a damn gas station” all that for a gas station. Anyway. 15yrs later they up their game and their size. Once you do the whole walk around and spend and hour doing so. Realize it’s a gas station and learn to navigate it as such. It’s nice to have clean restrooms and decent food to grab.
Pro tip when visiting. Always go past the first entrance. Circle the building. Pumps on far end are usually available and there are 2 entrances and exits. Just saying

^^^^^^^^^this is the reason our little community is NOT happy about them building one in our back yard.^^^^^^^^

Actually, this little community wants Buccee's and is very happy that it's coming!

There are a few who don't want it of course but it is still one if the best opportunity for our community in growth, jobs, and tax dollars.

Texas Cheesesteak Burrito is legit. Triple Meat Sandwich. The place screams Merica! What’s the problem?

The jobs for sure. At least it's not just another minimum wage employer opening up shop. It's actually a small, but major corporation that pays their employees well and cares.

I went to a Bucee's in Texas before they started going wild expanding. The store had maybe 10 gas pumps, a few diesel pumps and welcomed truckers. They sold hunting, fishing, cast iron pans and of course Bucky's balls. When they opened in VA. this summer the first thing that popped up was a lighted sign on I 81 saying No Trucks Allowed on Bucee Blvd., so just like Cracker Barrel with the no truck rule Bucee can go take a bite out of a tree. He ain't getting me in there. Besides, 10 miles up the road the fuel is 30 cents cheaper, and they opened up a new WaWa truck stop in Winchester. Oh Happy Days!!! Hear that greg vess greg vess ? Time for a road trip!

You can say that because it’s not at your back door nor will you have to deal with the traffic. I had to appeal my property tax this year as it’s more than double what it was for the previous owner just 5 years ago. It will do nothing to lower taxes. Wait and see.
