So I started with this mossberg 500 I picked up for a buck fiddy.

I introduced it to the bandsaw and my mill...

Added a few doo-dads to it, and came up with this...

The stock is a mossberg stock. Turns out it was their "flex" design. Don't ever buy one of these. The adapter for the receiver isn't something you can buy. I ended up milling the stock/grip down a bit to make it work. Then drilled it for a standard bolt to mount/retain it. I added a folding stock adapter as well. Because it's tacticool.

I still have a few other things to tend to on it. I'm thinking about stripping it all back down and giving it a aerosol overhaul. Also I need to figure out something to fill in that little area where the flex adapter would have clamped in place. I'll probably find some steel and make a filler plate for it. Might also toss some fiber sights on it too. Ya know, to tacticool it some more. Or I might find a long picatinny rail and mill a channel on the underside and install it on the rib. Dunno yet...

Artillery, pure freaking artillery to rain down on some poor fool if ever called into service.

That's the purpose of it. It has stepped up to become home defense for now. The tube has:

2 3/4" Field load, 3" 00 Buck, 3" 00 Buck, 3" 00 Buck, and 2 3/4" slug in that order to be fired.
