My dad has been a great man all these almost 74 years of his life. My mom passed in April and they made it to the 52.5 years married mark. I have been keeping him busy so he doesn’t mourn himself to death. It’s an adjustment for all of us. Mom was a believer in Jesus and I was privileged and honored to officiate her funeral.

I started to build dad an AR last year. I finally finished it and we broke it in right. Dad is a bolt gun and shot gun kind of guy but loves the build. ODT has been a great resource for us for almost 10 years. So many good people on here and just wanted to share some positivity in this negative culture. Thanks for listening!

My dad passed 2015. Made 83.5 years of great health. Played golf every day if the weather was 55 to 86 degrees. Made 86 and he stayed with us almost 2 years. I got to hear stories that I will cherish till I die. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a horrible way to die.
Your dad looks great like my dad did. Take a lot of photos and videos you won't regret it.
Best to you both for a long healthy life.
