won't give them a dime after their scare tactic emails after obama was elected? Everyday was something about get 5.56 before it's illegal at outrageous prices, and $299 stipped lowers because they coule be the last ever.
[. Ima midwayusa.com fella all the way. They may not be the cheapest but their customer service is the best. Ill pay a buck or two extra for that.[/QUOTE]
I agree 100% Midway Customer service is great. I have paid extra for items going through them and have never run into an issue of mis-priced stock
CTD are carnival barkers and scum bags. I ordered and paid for $800 worth of merchandise AFTER a $500 order. One item, a cheap piece of crap reticle illuminator ($29.00) wouldn't work. Would they authorize a return on the defective POS? No. Order from them at your own risk. They are crooked.
Ooh. Made a mistake. They authorized the return, so like a doof I pack the item and send it back to them via registered mail. No refund, no replacement. That's why I called them crooks.
I buy about $25K a year in ammo, guns and shooting supplies. NONE of that money goes to CTD. I don't care if they sell match 30.06 ammo at 5 cent per round.
I'll attempt to end this discussion - just wanted to give fellow members a heads up. Also - guess I should have included the punch line - they did charge my credit card. In my experience, reputable companies don't charge your credit card until they ship.
I recently ordered 10 Grade 1 ammo boxes from them and was really surprised when they arrived. They definitely weren't grade 1 (more like grade 3) and looked nothing like the pictures that were listed on the website. The ones I recieved were dirty, rusty smelly and had the word EMPTY spray painted in yellow. They were in workable condition so I took some sand paper and cleaned them, wiped them down with alcohol and spray painted them in OD green. All I can say is that I would be a little cautious ordering from these guys. I'll probably stick to Midway from now on!!!
I look at CTD as sort of an online convenience store. If you need gunsmithing stuff its probably cheap, er from midway. If you need milsurp gear, sportsmans guide or eBay. Ammo & mags either AIM, CDNN, or J&G. Need a mix of all of it you can sometimes come out ahead vs. separate shipping. But they have kinda declined in recent years...
