New Glock Vs are starting to show up at Distributors. Changes seem minor overall, as expected.
Do you think their arrival with result in the impetus of prices dropping for older generation Glocks? Is the trigger set-up of the new ones actually not allow for a "Glock switch" or was that hearsay?
Not for a good minute, from what I have heard and seen they just added a couple of ears to block out devices being installed. So it will not accept a "switch" but if someone really wanted to I think they probably could with minor gunsmithing. Ultimately the change was just to take some of the heat off of them and try to save Glock from the court cases.
I'm not a Glock guy, but I liked my Gen 3 when I had it.
This. We are in unknown waters with Glock stopping production of previous Gens, up til now you could go out and buy new Gen 3s, new Gen 4s and 5s. The supply of those will be finite now, and unless people get into the new Vs you can expect sellers to ask a premium. That being said, if Glock doesn't see sales stay steady with the changeover, I expect there to be sales on the new Vs coming soon to get people to give it a shot.
