Regardless of the way it came about, some of the credit card companies include buyer’s protection on purchases. If you paid with a card, …….

I ordered 500 rounds of PMC from them last night. They will be my “go to” company of choice from now on.Is it wrong that I want to order ammo now, after all this discussion ?
I ship all the time. I know how shipping works. I am not saying it is included in the shipping cost. I am saying that when I quote you a price for shipping, I have added the cost of insurance in. I will not ship anything without insurance. There is no option. It is part of the cost of shipping. It's nothing to do with morality or being raised at different times. I'm a small business too and I would personally refund the customer 100% and take it up with UPS myself.
You're simply wrong about insurance being the cost of shipping, it's not, it's an additional cost you have to purchase. SGammo simply gives you the OPTION to decline it if you want to roll the dice and save a few bucks.
It would be immoral if they tried to hide that option or something, but they are 100% transparent about and you have to check a box yourself clearly stating you're declining insurance.
It's no different than you and me charging a 3% credit fee. Sure we could do like most business and embed that cost into our products but then we'd be taking options away from our cash paying customers.
Options are good. I'd prefer business not embed cost like CC fees and shipping/insurance fees in there products and give me all the options.
As long as it's transparent (which SG ammo here couldn't possibly be any more transparent) then morality is not a issue whatsoever.

And you never will. I have a different view of things than you do as I said earlier. It would be a boring world if we were all exactly alike. I don't care if you agree with my view or not. Not sure why it is so important to you.Ok, and when you checkout at SG ammo they have also added the cost of insurance and shipping in but also give you the option of declining insurance.
I'm still failing to understand how giving the customer that option is immoral.
And you will never see how many people buy elsewhere for that few dollars saving elsewhere. And you never will. I have a different view of things than you do as I said earlier. It's not that it's important, this is a discussion forum and I'm trying to understand your view of how it's morally wrong to give people a clear and transparent option to save money if they want to take a risk it.And you never will. I cannot help but think it is taking advantage of human nature. They know that many people will opt out of the insurance to save a few dollars which relieves them as the seller of their responsibility in case something does go wrong. I still say that their opt out policy would not hold up in court if they sell a product to you and you do not receive it but, they also know that most people cannot afford to go that route and will let it drop. Again, taking advantage of human nature for a small monetary gain. A little sleazy in my opinion. It's not that it's important, this is a discussion forum and I'm trying to understand your view of how it's morally wrong to give people a clear and transparent option to save money if they want to take a risk it.
I pretty much agree with you on everything else, just the comment that they are morally wrong for allowing customers to opt out of insurance baffles me.
