Sorry you got hung out there but there are plenty of businesses that do the same thing he has. You should have halfway expected it as crazy as things were. If its too good to be true it usually is. Interesting post. Those who have done business with us in the past know better. We opened a total of 1200 pre paid production slots in early February due to demand, of these slots 500 were offered to the general public. Of these 1200 slots we have delivered 1174 completed upper receivers. We admit to being behind on the production of lower receivers, due to the fact we are not receiving the necessary raw material on the schedule it was promised. We offered our customers the option of using another product at an additional cost of $40 to speed up the process. Since we began retail sales in June of 2012, we have been a licensed manufacturer since 2006, we have delivered over 9000 rifles. Believe me, I do understand peoples frustration more than anybody, we paid for barrel blanks in November for delivery in December that we have been told we will now have to wait 120 business days for. Those who know us and have done business with us know we stand behind what we say and what we produce. In the first week of December 2012 we had a 7700 unit backlog which has been completely filled, in February, due to demand we took on more because people asked us to. We could have easily skyrocketed our prices, but we did not, instead we hold true our principles to not take advantage of people during this surge in sales. I do not think anyone can go out and by an AR platform rifle for under $700 from another manufacturer and receive the product faster. Sure, we could sell the same rifle for $900 plus and deliver the product faster, but that is just not the way we do business. Being somewhat new to retail, perhaps we are naïve. As for taking our number of the site, we could not function with the phone ringing non stop. We are still receiving in excess of 1500 emails per day and we are doing our best to answer and respond as fast as we can. Below is the actual wording of the pre paid orders. PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING!!!
At this time we are going to open some 500 odd pre paid order slots for delivery starting at the end of Feb to early Mar for the lower receiver and another 6 to 8 weeks additional for the upper receiver ( Upper components, specifically raw materials for barrels will be the determining factor here, times may actually be less or more ). I would suggest checking our website before bed and early morning as there are literally thousands waiting in the wings for these slots. We are offering some of the best delivery times in the industry as most manufacturers are requiring you to want 1 to 2 years to receive their product, if you do not agree with these terms DO NOT place an order. Any order cancellation will incur a 15% restocking fee. Order cancellations delay the production schedule and causes delays for our other customers while we have to reshuffle the production schedule.
Custom options will require 1 to 2 days extra, but as always, upgrade installations are free with your order.

this does not look like an option to speed things up but a change in lower receivers that requires you to spend an extra 40 to get your order. Is there an option to wait for the original order without spending the extra $40.00 bucks?

Isn't Sky Guns the same company that sent the guy an upper with M4 feed ramps cut into the upper but not the barrel that wouldn't cycle and he had to go through a bunch of rigmarole to get it fixed?

This is the part I don't get. You're WAY behind on orders. It's not like you're going to change an entire production run because someone cancels.

Just wanted to alert potential buyers. If they do decide to buy something from them after this post they would be well advised to get, IN WRITING, a drop dead delivery date and if not delivered by that date, to have 100% of charges refunded.

I know companies do It but it is one of the dishonorable practices to do so because something can and will happen (1) sell something you dont have possession of yet (2) agree on a price and then raise it (3) agree on a delivery date and not fullfill it.

Word of advise Skygunint: Slow your role and preserve your honor because your numbers say you have done 9k in 6 yrs and then close to 8k in 90 days. Really
