Absolutely. But as a small manufacturer we cannot substitute a $120 receiver for a $60 receiver when our profit per rifle is around $20, even with a $40 charge we are barely making any money on these rifles, we are offering this option as a courtesy to try and get the product into our customer hands faster. We keep our costs down by offsetting our retail production cost with large LE and Federal orders. Let me just ask this, look at these specs and tell me if you think we are a rip off. Our standard M4 is built utilizing a YHM A3 upper receiver, a Mossberg barrel, 4 rail lo pro gas block, mil spec HP and ND tested BCG, Mil Spec LPK, Mil Spec M4 6 position stock and an LRB Arms or Tactical Machining lower receiver for under $700.

I'll just say this . I bought a complete lower from Jay at the early December Eastman gun show. While buying the lower I saw his uppers and decided to get one of those also. Total was right at $650 for a complete AR. Ihave been well pleased with the rifle.

I totally understand. Read the email though, as it reads it says nothing about a substitution for the money. It reads like you have no other option. At least that's how I read it. I understand where your coming from.

Paynefree, thanks for your kind words and support. I bet these days you are soooo happy you bought before the madness.
Sure am. And I appreciate the breakfast we had the next morning too. Finally got around to shooting it last weekend and it's a blast. Kicking myself for not buying th other one that day as well. The Remington 7615p that you transferred for me is fun too.

That's the way I read it too. Looks like good intention just got waylaid by some bad wording.

Not trying to tell you how to run your business, but if you are only making $20 on an $700 or $800 rifle, you need to rethink your business model. At less than a 3% profit margin, there is no way your business is profitable, let alone, pay your fixed cost of doing business( IE rent, payroll, other expenses, etc.)

You are backing up.

I have to give Jay 2 thumbs up. He sold some BCG's on Gunbroker back in Feb for a very fair price. He could have easily asked twice the amount he charged for them but did not. It was a great transaction. I like doing business with folks like that.
