Buyer Beware of Sky Guns International

Owner hasn't chimed in for awhile. Guess he's gonna stick with preying on new shooters. Plus, I'm thinking his 'dod contacts' falls under having sold guns to a couple of soldiers. I've heard these claims before when the builder sold to cops/soldiers. "I sell to the departments, and military all the time".

What did you pay for the BCG's and what were their specs?

Selling airsoft parts as the real deal is just unacceptable.

BCGs were priced fair. 150each. The specs were represented as mil spec and mpi tested. And they look no different than my psa and spikes full auto BCGs. I am running one of them in my gun and traded two others. I have had no problems with the ones I am running but time will tell I suppose.

What did they say about the airsoft mix up? Where the parts in an airsoft box?

They are probably fine. The devil is in the details when it comes to specs. Mil spec should mean more than a phosphate finish and chrome lined. For starters, look at the specs listed on BCM's website. Their carriers are fully mil spec. At $150, I doubt they fully comply and the bolts are likely commercial spec 8620 steel as opposed to carpenter 158. Still, not a bad price for a bcg, but I'd be pissed if I bought one thinking it was full spec if it wasn't. I can't tell from their website what the details on the bcg are, as the specs aren't listed. That's usually not a good sign. In your case, getting any carrier for $150 during the last 4 months was a good deal. As long as the bolt holds up, no problem. Worst case scenario, you can rebuild the carrier with a hardened gas key and grade 8 screws and replace the bolt with a known good bolt if it ever breaks.

In other news, a quick search on the GA SOS website revealed that Sky Guns International LLC has been incorporated since March 2012.

I would like to hear what LE agencies he supplies. Being as I started off my time in law enforcement in that area, I'm pretty familiar with the agencies there. Let's hear the names.

He did not say anything other than he would refund if I mailed them back. I should have know when I ordered because the price was too good to be true for the pair. But when they arrived in the box as a packaged pair, and had the hex key for securing on the rail, I knew I got the knock offs. When the price is too good to be true, it usually is.
