Whats involved in getting a C&R license ? are there any any hidden bugaboos involved? It seems that any time you involve the Gov. there is always something waiting to bite you in the ass.

Complete paperwork, and if I recall send a letter to sheriffs office. Was easy as getting my CCW.

Easier than a CCW - no fingerprints no trip to the county office. Just fill out form mail, copy to local LEO, and wait a few weeks.

Only downside I see is keeping meticulous paperwork and being subject to inspection at any time from the Federal government.

If you sell or trade a few off you could be in danger of being called a dealer.
