C96 Broomhandle Mauser project

I don't know the current status, but Artillery lugers could be matched to a repro artillery stock, and navy Lugers to repro navy stocks, and be legal. The same was true for C-96s at that point in time.

I guess I'm in the market for a wooden stock!

I think what you have to look out for is folks who shot 7.63 Tokarev through their Mausers. The Tok round is HOT and NOT recommended to shoot through a C96. But I'm sure lots of folks have shot those rounds through their Mausers when the 7.63 Mauser round wasn't available.

Off to Sarco/Apex. Anyone got a link for a good C96 stock/holster?

Its ok to shoot it like a rifle. Honestly though, it's pretty fun as a pistol

I took her to the range yesterday, here's a couple of pics. No video since I was by myself. She belches fire...fun to see.

She shoots really well with the shoulder stock attached...about1-1/2" inch groups at 45 feet. I didn't do as well without the stock, the round grips are challenging. Need to shoot her more to figure out the right way to hold her.
