It used to be made with better ingredients than Hershey's.
Hershey's made chocolate accessible to the masses at the turn of the 20th century. European chocolatiers concentrated on quality, and the price has come dome much slower on European chocolate.

You are not missing much. Cadbury was bought by Kraft.Mondelez. Kraft promptly changed recipes and cheapened out the Easter eggs.

For good, inexpensive but awesome chocolate try ALDI. Their own brand is made in Germany and Austria and it blows Hershy's/Mars wax-filled chocolate out of water.
