Apparently two hand guns were believed to be used.

Oh, and a few articles disagree as to whether the shooter lives in the area or not. More lame-stream media just doing a copy and past, and maybe adding or deleting bits, maybe by accident. But, you know, we gotta believe the ministry of truth.

Yeah, most of the news reports are "white guy kills 9 black people", "shooter shoots up church in California" nothing about it being racially motivated.

Latest reports are that he is Chinese, and hates Taiwanese - which is sort of awkward because China claims that Taiwan is part of China.,

He was born and raised to the age of 5 or 5 in Taiwan, and then came to the USA with his parents in the middle 1950s.

He was politically a communist, yet called himself a Christian and put a Cristian cross on his car.

His beef with Taiwanese in the USA was that they tended to be strongly anti-communist and activists for full independent nation status for Taiwan, as a fully separate country from mainland China (goes against the "one China, two systems" that has existed for 70 years, and which the USA endorsed and made its own policy back in the early 1970s under the Nixon administration).

The shooter was a security guard (or retired, at age 68?) from Las Vegas.

His two handguns were purchased legally years before, in 2015 and 2017.

Ditto for the extra mags he brought-- they came from 'Vegas, where there is no magazine capacity limit like California has.

Apparently the nutjob shooter had tried to join a Communist group in the USA, but they rejected him for being too radical.

He recently sent a huge 3 volume set of his diaries to a Chinese-language newspaper, and they took one glance at it and forwarded it to the authorities. Apparently they knew a dangerous crazy person when they saw the writings of one.

Anyhow, if multiple people in that church had been armed, and immediately drew on the bad guy and opened fire on him,

the bad guy probably would still have been able to wound a few people before going down, but it's likely the one hero's life would have been saved, if he could have shot from a distance instead of having to rush the gunman and do a bare-handed charge right towards the muzzle of the bad guy's gun.

And, having the bad guy shot down during his crime would be more of a deterrent to other would-be mass shooters, most of whom don't fear our pussified criminal justice system and the idea of three hot meals and a cot to sleep on for the rest of their natural lives.

For a 68 year old murderer, "life" in prison might be only another 5 years.

For him, we not only need the death penalty but it needs to be ugly and painful, to serve as an effective deterrent.

We could do it in a way that other Asians have done, when they want to die in a spectacular way that makes a bold statement:

Even if gasoline costs $7 a gallon in California, I'd say the State should go ahead
and burn $35 worth of fuel on this domestic terrorist-murderer.
