Literally it is probably not "Wild" but rather "Feral". What's important is that it is good game.

If it was shot in Louisiana then it was a American hog not Russian.
Russian Boar is the breed of pig... Not its nationality... Like Canadian geese don't change to American Geese or Georgia Geese when they fly over my house...

I have done a lot of hog hunting and that is definitely a wild hog
it was a home raised pig that got out of pen within the last 8-10 months. Neighbor had called to tell me ,after he heard i shot one that the guy that lives below him lost 6-8 pigs. Thats great because they will taste a little better than wild ones and it's something else to hunt while waiting on a buck. This one i got done in all sausage , maybe the next one i'll get some chops out of him.
