Can I purchase a suppressor for someone as a gift? If so, how exactly?

Can a GA resident buy a suppressor from an online retailer, ship it to the recipient’s FFL (or SOT?) which is also in GA, and then recipient does the Form 4 and takes full ownership of the item. Is this possible and legal?
What important details/steps does the giftor and/or giftee need to follow/consider?

If you buy and register in your name then try to transfer it to someone else it’s almost double the paperwork. You’d be better off giving them the money for it and let the purchase it.

Trying to do a nice gesture for a friend. Birthday gift.
So far it sounds like NOT the way to go…. Just feels lame to cut them a check, but if that’s how it’s gotta be…
