The CMP sold off some surplus USMC M40 variants over the years. No matter who bought them, I would still consider them to be “Sniper rifles”.

While I was a Sniper, I owned a lot of rifles that weren’t “Sniper rifles”.

I never considered any of my pistols to be “Sniper pistols”, like my truck wasn’t a “Sniper truck” and my toothbrush wasn’t a “Sniper toothbrush”.
