Can't make a decision!!! Glock 43 or S&W 9 M&P Shield

I don't like manual safety's; just my personal preference. Glocks do need some sort of retention holster because of their design though. Check out this product! Outstanding!

This and the G43!

I own a G19 and a Shield in 9. Bought my Shield a couple of years ago before the 43 came out, and before the option of no safety. The Sheild is my BUG on duty (ankle carry), and sometimes carry it off duty. I never engage the safety. It's a striker fired weapon with a trigger safety as well. I've been in foot pursuits, jumped fences, been in ground fights, and plenty of other interesting situations with it. Never had an ND or any other issues. Shoots as well as my 19 and carries more rounds than the 43. I'm neither a Glock nor S&W fanboy, but they're both fine made weapons.

Edit- for clarification I am a S&W wheel gun fan boy.

I have the exact same holster(?) for my Glocks but bought me a "GearCraft" from Billico and the retention is perfect. I will buy my next holster from these ODT guys.

G43 if these two guns are what you have narrowed it down to. I have both the Shield and the 43. If I was choosing one to carry, it would be the 43. Smoother shooter and I like how it feels in my hands. And, for capacity, put a Pierce +1 extension on the Glock.

But, personally, I carry the G26. A bit more capacity and not that much bigger. Just a bit wider though.

Yes. I have a G17 threaded barrel. My go too... the 43 is to conceal carry better.

I like the idea of the 43 as a carry, it just doesn't hold that many rounds. I personally carry the G19 which is the best of both IMO and I've never had a problem carrying it. I still would like the 43 though. I've shot them and shoot really nice.

This was what I needed to hear. You have them both and was looking for that.. Awesome!

I was gonna buy me a "G26" but already have a G30sf which is very similar in size except 30 is a little larger. I do like the 45 as opposed to 9. Decisions. Decisions.
