Car insurance renewal with Geico coming and they are sticking it to me $4200 a year for 100/300/100 coverage on 5 cars. Who do you guys recommend?

The entire industry is F'd up. There's no explaining/comparing any situation today between companies. You simply have to shop around, or use a broker every year or so. You used to save by bundling home and auto every single time; this year is the first time I've split the two to save money. It's frustrating as hell.

One thing I would suggest is to ask body shop mangers which company, if any these days, pays up without all the bs back and forth supplements delaying the repairs.
I had progressive (cheapest) early 2000's, when I wrecked a car a lot of body shops refused to even look at my car knowing I had progressive and the bs that they would have to deal with going forward.
I had another minor incident a few years ago, insurance companies at that time checked back 3 years for tickets, 1 month before my 3 year sentence was up and ready for some cheaper rates, the cocksuckers moved the goal post again,now they check back 5 years.
The illegals driving, dui's and the hit and runs make all of our premiums go up, just another way for us to pay for the ones for the one who wont.

If you have a Costco membership, check with them. I started to sign up with them (until they noticed my wife's ticket) and it was going to save me about $1,000 every six months. I am waiting for the ticket to age out (they look back five years now!) and I'll see what they say then.

Older cars are more expensive to insure due to lack of safety features btw.

My 5 vehicles and 5 drivers are currently insured by Geico.
2012 Yukon Denali XL
2010 Honda Fit
2008 Honda Element
2005 Dodge Ram 4x4
2004 Honda CRV

No tickets, no accidents and no claims. 3 drivers 20,22 and 24.
I have the policy but all of my kids pay their portion of the insurance bill.

I just called Geico to verify my renewal amount for Jan 2025 to Jul 2025 is $2113.00 for 6 months. This includes a $499.00 increase for ALL Geico members in GA. So $500 bucks just because! Geico representative verified it, so by Felicia!

I called Progressive Insurance and quoted the exact same coverages for all 5 vehicles and all 5 drivers for 6 months is $985.00

That's $1185.00 difference for 6 months!! Yeah Geico can go **** themselves.

Who told you GEICO is getting a random increase that high? I’ve been car shopping the last two weeks and haven’t heard anything of the sort.

Geico is circling the drain. They've laid off so many people not just in Macon, but nationwide. Tom Combs, the man in charge is ordering layoffs left and right with no notice to the employees.

I believe Berkshire Hathaway, the company that owns Geico, is getting ready to sell it, so they are working on trying to make the books look good.

They need to lay off half the folks. Post Covid everyone is working from home. The adjusters require the shops to do the work they used to do. It’s hard to get someone on the phone and when you do they don’t know what you need

Replacement parts in a 24 are going to cost more than parts for a 2006. Also replacement value if totals should be a lot different.

Not sure if it will help you but we switched 5 years ago from Farm Bureau to State Farm and cut our cost in half. Basically same coverage limits as you have. We live in West Cobb County. I will share my agent with you if interested. PM me. Good luck.
