Car loans...

We have USAA and YES you have to either have served, be a spouse of, or a son or daughter of an EXISTING USAA member to have the ability to access their incredible rates/benefits. RANDOM people can not receive benefits from this company.... they are a non-profit organization that is %100 dedicated to military members and their families!!!! WE love USAA!!!!
Are you or a family member of USAA? They are only available to current or former military and their families. I've had good experience with them and their rates have always been lower than anyone else. And their customer service is great.

Im pretty confident my dad would cosign with me. I just want to work on my credit score!
It really depends on what you're trying to buy. As backward as it sounds you may come out better buying something brand new. Yes, new cars are expensive but you will get more months ( time to pay ) from the brand/lot. Plus, at this time of year there are plenty of factory to dealer incentives to help out. With all the rebates accounted for it will probably be cheaper for you to drive a new lower model car/truck than a 2 to 5 year old vehicle. See, lenders look at Black Book value on all cars and set their payment terms from there. So with a used car you may only get 36 to 48 months to pay it off with a new car you can go up to 72 months. And it may be longer by now. I haven't worked at a lot since 2011.

But you don't want to be on the hook for any more months than necessary. So with that in mind join a credit union and see if they will make the loan for you. If not then I say go to a CarMax and let them put together a deal for you. Yes,their cars are a little higher than other lots. BUT when you go to CarMax you get to avoid the ALL DAY bull**** of every other car lot. And they show you the price immediately. No secrets and no lemons. It's well worth it.
