Did something change about carrying in the post office? My local has had the no weapons code section yada Yada Yada sign up for years and all of a sudden it's gone.

Hmmmm ... I don't think the law actually changed.

But the old law required that the federal facility in question be posted with a sign not only saying that weapons weren't allowed, but also quoting the specific code section : Title 18 USC. section 930,
I believe.

Without such a sign on display, I'm not sure if you could be prosecuted.

Sign at my local Post Orfice.

It's not visible from the outside;
you have to enter the building to see it.

You can certainly legally and in accordance with USPS policies, ship firearms via USPS. In my opinion, given that information, it’s silly for them to post such a sign.

Also, UPS posts similar signs at their ‘customer centers’ while their policies expressly state that you are allowed to ship firearms specifically via those locations.
