Casita campers: who has/had one?

Bingo...you know your gravel roads

Nice... I went there once 10 years ago. Out of all the many turns, I stopped at that very same turn and was in awe of the view. I guess I'll never forget that view. Either I have photographic memory or it was a view to remember. Now I will plan to go back so thanks for the sharing the pic. Now back to yalls camper discussion.

Picked ours up in Texas about 1 month ago. We love it so far. It is small but has everything we need. The shower space is bigger then I thought and the bed that folds down from the table is much bigger then I thought both pluses actuallythe whole thing is alot bigger in the inside then we thought it would be. We went ahead and optioned our out with everything but the solar panels. Build quality is far superior to a traditional camper. We were forced to pick it up in my wife's 2021 honda pilot and it towed it just fine getting 17mpg while towing.

We already upgraded the waste water hose and I am building and welding on a bracket to hold a generator and 5 gallons of gas

They are expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Things we didn't know
Comes with electric heat and propane heat if you get the deluxe model
Water heater is propane or electric which is awesome for boonedocking
It comes with a junky waste hose and screw in adapter.
Comes with a foot and wheel for the tounge jack. (That sounds stupid we didn't know but we found it in the box of goodies after our first use...)

Anyone considering one is more then welcome to see ours before ordering/buying just hit me up.

Looking at getting a Casita Spirit. Anyone of you fellow ODT'ers have any experience? Things to look for? Things to avoid?

Yes, I know its a terrible time to buy, prices are high, yada, yada. Let's just get that out of the way.

Just saw one like it in the Predator generator thread. It looks really handy as far as size and how it could be towed by most SUVs. I would definitely have one stashed in the woods if I had the property.
