Castable Fish Finders

I have been playing around with the idea of getting a castable fish finder. Wanted to see what experience yall might have had. What types have been tried, what are pros and cons of each?

I am looking to add one to my gear for when exploring smaller rivers on foot or new small lakes.

They have been around for a while. The reviews most places are about as useful as an ejector seat in a helicopter though
