CBR 600 or R6

I have rode dirtbikes all my life and I have always wanted a street bike and now I am going to get one and I cant decide on a bike.
So what do you think a CBR 600 or R6? Since its going to be my first street bike I will be going with a 2004-2008 year range. If you choose other let me know what and why you chose the option.
