Reliability is #1. When I was researching the .22 ARs, outside of .22 conversion kits, everywhere I saw said the S&W 15-22 is hands better a better rifle.

The Colts have all metal and are closer to the weight of an M-16. Smith as the poly and is lighter. Both are very accurate.

Colts are built by Walther, correct? S&W 22 and Bushmaster have AR platform. Not sure about the Colt. In for more info as I want one too.

I have shot the S&W belonging to a buddy. It is much lighter. I looked at reviews of the new Bushmaster but have not seen in person. Thought I wanted the Ruger but it's a 1022 in AR clothes. Leaning toward the Smith unless I hear a good reason not.
