I have read many not so great reviews on the Colt. So while I like the look, feel and price of the Colt. I bought a S&W. And while the 10/22 may be one of the all time great rifles, it's obviously not an AR Style. Rugers Tacticool 22 AR is built from a 10/22, it must be a great gun, but I'm not a fan of its looks.

Decent price. But Bushmaster recently dropped a C15-22 which is the carbon 15 with a dedicated .22 upper. However its a traditional AR and the upper can be swapped out with any other caliber upper. In fact they sell it as a kit too so you can get the .223 and the .22 uppers both. Its almost the one I got then I decided I wanted to build one myself and get the Cmmg conversion bolt
