Still on the hunt for a chair lift... we were quoted $17,000 for a lift. I think that's a lot of money for less than 20 stairs.

I think what's costing so much is that we have a turn going up the stairs. It's about 9 steps up, a big landing about 7 feet long, and 5 feet wide, then another 9 steps up to the main floor.
can you get 2 short straight lifts and she walk across the small landing?
(btw...the lift is GREAT for moving large boxes of heavy ammo up and down the stairs)
Bought a straight one off of FB for $1000 and installed it myself. The landing would change things I'm sure.
I have installed a bunch of lifts and a few elevators but when I needed one at my own house it was cost prohibitive because of steep twisting stairs and unconventional framing - I ended up putting a driveway and sidewalk around to the lower floor which actually worked out to be a blessing later.
That’s what we did. Two short straight lifts, about half the cost of a custom curved one. 101 Mobility did ours too.
