Cheap handgun for the truck

OP I don't even bother carrying anymore. I ain't scared of dying and I'll Jason Bourne a pistol out of someones hands and reinsert it into that persons rectum before squeezing the trigger. I really am that good. ;)

If you are packing everyday that gives you the opportunity to engage or insert yourself into bad situation. Then if you do end up shooting someone then the lawyer fees are going to put you in the s*** house. If everything goes right which is usually never then there's a chance you're going to lose your gun. Possibly lose all of your firearm privileges. I just got too much to lose to insert myself into that mess. It's a choice and I don't condemn anyone if they want to carry. Besides open carry in Virginia is completely legal. Being it hunting season now nobody would think one thing about it. It's just the culture up here. I just don't see where I would need one except for someone in my dark yard up to no good. Whoever tried to break into my house, chances are they know what's in here and they might try again if my truck isn't here. That's what I'm really concerned about and the only reason why I even take a gun with me in my vehicle.

Now if someone is in some kind of business where they are carrying large sums of money to the bank, opening up early in the morning and closing up late at night then I see a definitely need to carry all the time. Situations like that means that you got a modicum of common sense because you have a very high probability something might happen. Also an ex-police officer carrying I can see because they've seen so much crazy stuff in their career they would not dare go anywhere without one. There are reasons to conceal carry I just don't have one. If I go up to the little quick stop half a mile up the road most of the time I'm in my sweats with a hoodie on. I just pick it up take it in there leave it up under the center console until I get back and then take it with me back into the house

It doesn't matter what the reason is or why I need to do this or that the haters in here are going to hate and they're going to come up with every reason they can to belittle someone. I am the only one that needs to do what he thinks is enough. Even right when I try to ask about a particular firearm you guys are going to hit that with all you got.

You really think you have identified the one and only scenario where you might need a firearm? If you don’t want to carry, I can respect that, but you’re probably going to get picked at a bit if your justification for not carrying is that flimsy.

I think you got a lot of suggestions from this thread.

A normal person ... like you?
Normal is just a setting on a dryer. However it is pretty normal for a man to simply carry his gun in a holster every day to protect himself his family and his community. Maybe that's not the normal to how most people were raised and lived, but it's normal for me and mine.

I thought it was pretty normal for the average ODTer. Maybe I'm the crazy one.
