Many of times !

All the parents in our hood kept a fully stocked box of band aids, mechurachrome, alcohol & bactine ….. all that stuff.
Heck, our hospital ERs knew our names and had the folks work and home numbers on the wall. Along with the oldest brother that was able to drive to come get us !!

One of them dang knuckleheads took a Yamaha YZ125 engine off a dirt bike and affixed it to a go cart one time….nothing could catch that thing !! 5 speed floor shifter, disc brakes !! That damned thing was fast as they got !! Scary fast !

Good times !! I will NEVER forget half the stuff….i will NEVER remember the other half !!

I was the youngest of three boys…..my brothers got into stuff so crazy it scared me !!

After both my parents had passed we found a bottle of Mercurochrome in the medicine cabinet and had some good laughs talking about old childhood wounds that got a dose of it. I still recall being told that 'burning feeling' meant it was killing germs. Wished I had saved the bottle as a keepsake. Here's what Wikipedia says about it, note it contained mercury.
