I didn't know they still sold that stuffI still use Mercurochrome. Have too when I get a skin break blow my knees. Which is pretty often. Due to by-pass surgery.

Yep. Dyes your skin and burns.......After both my parents had passed we found a bottle of Mercurochrome in the medicine cabinet and had some good laughs talking about old childhood wounds that got a dose of it. I still recall being told that 'burning feeling' meant it was killing germs. Wished I had saved the bottle as a keepsake. Here's what Wikipedia says about it, note it contained mercury.
