Chill the heck out about "clips"

And I guess it was hard to "grasp" the fact that he paid for it and he can call it a Jeep if he wants to.

I used to wheel with a guy that had a Land Rover Discovery II and he always referred to it as a "car". He never could grasp the fact that it was an SUV (or truck).

Ignorance is bliss and America caters to it.

The definition of a car is an automobile.

cartridge clip
–noun
a metal frame or container holding cartridges for a magazine rifle or automatic pistol.

mag·a·zine
–noun
4. a metal receptacle for a number of cartridges, inserted into certain types of automatic weapons and when empty removed and replaced by a full receptacle in order to continue firing.

By this definition, off of dictionary.com, most of my guns take clips!

And I'll take ignorance over arrogance any day.

It's quite simple - a clip loads rounds into a magazine. The magazine feeds rounds into the chamber. Some guns have internal magazines and are therefore clip-fed.

I forgot, home made pictures overwrite the dictionary every time!

All I'm saying is it isn't an unforgivable sin to call a mag a clip, everyone knows what you are referring to.

That's not near as aggravating as snubbies, shotties, winnys, remmys etc.
Good grief we're talking firearms not yuppie type toys ..
