Classic car insurance - who you got?

State Farm 74 Toyota FJ40, need to insure a 80 928 I just bought.

Hagerty gave me a better policy and a guaranteed value that state farm wouldn't offer me.

Two Jeeps with Hagerty. I state the value. One is insured for $10k (80 CJ7, 4 CYL, 4-speed) and the other for $25k ('95 YJ, "modified" w/LS swap, auto). Total annual premium for both Jeeps, last paid July 2024, was $774 (includes multi-vehicle and "paid in full" discounts). Note that I am in Alabama.

Very good. They've screwed me every time an insured hit me. And I've seen them first hand screw their insured too

State Farm is the worst. Changed from them after 34 years. We currently have four policies with Grundy for the classics. We have only been with them for about five years, but they have been good so far. Definitely get a policy with agreed value, or you will screwed if you have a claim.

I can’t recall the name of the policy,but it’s through State Farm. It is a full coverage policy,that covers full replacement cost/value..that I gave them. I gave them the dollar amount,that I felt the car was worth,and that dictated the cost of the policy. The stipulation is that I can drive it <1,000 miles per year. Cost is around $250,every 6 months. Pretty reasonable,I thought(?)

American Collectors is who I use for my Chevelle. Agreed value policy for $40k cost $370/yr. I do have a mileage stipulation, though they’ve never asked about mileage, and I can’t drive my car to work, not that I’d want to.

I used Hagerty for many years

I’ve never had an issue with Hagerty. They’ll insure at what ever level you’re at during the restoration, the others probably do too? My bill stayed around $30 a month for years lol.
