Are any of you guys into clones or some of the lesser known imports? The Canik TP9SA/V2 have gotten a lot of press recently and are known as the "Turkish Glock". They run a little over $300, so arguably you get Glock quality for a lot less.

The SAR K2 is a 14-round 45 ACP gun that compares favorably to many higher-end guns and is a CZ clone. It can be had for around $400, and is an all-steel gun. I'm kind of bored with traditional offerings, so I'm considering one of these.

So, are there any other clones/lesser-known imports that you guys are into that are a tremendous value?

The fact that they are less known or common keeps me away from them.

I like established companies with a reputable line before I buy.

I do know several friends that want to purchase the Arsenal Strike One. Seems to have great reviews as well.

Canik and SAA are well known in Europe. It would be like buying from Colt in the US. The Strike One does look cool, but the price-point is ridiculous. You have to overcome the "lesser known" hesitation with price.

I've had my eye on the Sar k2 for a while. I finally found one and was really disappointed at how little slide you could grab onto. That make sense? Otherwise I would have bought it.

I think TZ75's(tanfoglio) were the original CZ clones, company went to EAA witnesses...The Canik T and S series are faithful copies that have proven themselves well. There were a boatload of PPK/S copies that were fine quality weapons, I will call out the FEG PA63 for one. Literally hundreds of Colt 1911 clones....
