Cobb County Bus driver tries entrapment

I hope it goes well for you man, I really do...but this is the most severe traffic violation you can be cited for. I believe it is 6 or 7 points, a stiff fine, and usually probation. They can hit you with all of them to the max if the want to, just hope you catch the right judge on a good day and he may let you slide...assuming this is your first and you have no other pending serious violations.

I don't see how they could asses ANY points on the registered owners DL

Could have been anyone driving it
Unless a cop issues the ticket person to person. There is no way to prove who was operating the vehicle

Might be a fine for the registered owner. Like a red light camera. But I dont see how a judge or jury would ever be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt who was operating the vehicle

When it comes to a kids life, why wouldn't you just play it safe? It shouldn't be a legal debate. It should be a well being of a child debate. As an adult, I think you make that sacrifice.

A few years ago a school bus turned on the flashers when I was behind it and moved over into the turn-in lane for a neighborhood. It appeared the bus was going into the neighborhood but stopped just as I went by. The bus driver ended up getting my tag, and I got a nice letter from the county, but no ticket. I'm hyper-aware of school buses now. I had a situation similar to yours the other day where I saw the flashing yellows (bus coming from the opposite direction) and I immediately stopped. The bus kept going and she waved me by. From the video I think you're ok. The stop sign didn't even come out until you were beside it from what I can tell. Bus drivers can be erratic and confusing. From now on you'll be like me and hyper-aware I'm sure.

My wife is a Cobb Co bus driver. I'm told the camera does not take a picture until the stop arm is out. The swing arm that stops the kids from walking in front of the bus. It's is synchronized with the camera and the camera is motion activated. Don't pass a stopped school bus that has it's arm.
