For sure! I am thoroughly enjoying breaking in this engine and driving it around looking the way it is. I seem to get lots of thumbs up. I’ve put just over 100 miles on the break-in so far.

200 miles on the break in for the engine and did it's first oil change. Had a whiff and occasional drip of gas that was unrepeatable. Turns out he O-ring on the sending unit to the tank was off a hair and it was enough to get an occasional drip from splashing around. Pulled the bed and got it fixed. Getting new wheels today, installed LED headlights to go with the eventual blacked out accents. Paint appointment in 4 weeks.
After painting I’m putting a new harness on the back, re-wiring headlights, marker lights and adding a 3g alternator. The engine harness is from the 1986 f150 and it will stay. Putting in Dakota digital dash gauges to keep it stock looking. I will have plenty to do on the interior after paint.
Please don't put digital gauges in it. I hate those things. I'd leave the old ones in it if they work. It's your truck, just sayin
You won't be able to tell, they look just like stock, but with good lighting at night. My eyes are getting worse as every day passes. There is no stopping old man time and I feel it all over my body these days.
I hope you never have trouble with them. You'd probably have to find another set of gauges again. They do look good. I just know how getting parts are. They stop making it and you're the one holding the bag
