Colt 1911 help

So it ain't worth much.

I wouldn’t think so. If it functions, it’s a cool old shooter. Take it to the range and enjoy it. I bet it could tell some stories!

If you know someone that shoots in the “Wild Bunch” subclass of Cowboy Action Shooting, it would be a perfect gun to compete with.

I was reading some other sites so I got excited:

Rare U.S. Navy Marked Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol | Rock Island Auction https://www.rockislandauction.com/d...y-marked-colt-model-1911-semiautomatic-pistol

WWI Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army Military Pistol Frame Only 1917 ATF Modern - LSB Auctions https://share.google/QkMHjJUrvhosHc3rX

They didnt have the horse either.

The top one has the Pony owards the hammer. Did the bottom one even have a slide?

With yours, you can tell the refinish was done in part to heavy wear on the firearm. I worry about it being a reweld, how is the frame on the inside?

I would call this a range grade based off wear, refinish and modern parts.

I'd say $1000, or even less.

Great shooter I'm sure. Not a collector.

I was completely wrong about the missing Colt pony logo.

The one on yours is behind the serrations on the slide. It’s very faint, partially polished away, but not completely removed like I had stated.

That’s my bad.
No worries. Just trying to value.
