Colt- Silver Star / Python, value?

There is a VERY EASY telltale sign for any stainless gun. Does it have an "S" stamped inside the ejector rod shroud as well as under the ejector star on rear of cylinder?

I have been running around like crazy all weekend, I will check for the "S" tomorrow... I believe it's a 1971, starts with E24

No way it's a stainless then. You have a refinished gun as e-nickel didn't come out until the 80's which was WAY past "e" prefix guns. If it were factory nickel it would look like a mirror. Value is prob around $1500-$1800

Yes, provided timing, and cylinder lock up are all in good shape. You have arguably the best production revolver ever made. Shoot the hell out of it!!!!

That python is refinished, I honestly wouldn't pay more than 1500 for it
