My experance is, I usually get as good as I give. If im an ass to the person who is just doing their job on the other end of the line, it's probably not going to go well.

BUT, if I am nice and recognize that the person has possibly already delt with several other ticked off people, and I am nice and friendly. I get better results.

I argue that. From my personal experience I get treated like gold from Big Corporations. When I call small local businesses they act like I am an inconvenience to them. That happens often.

That's true too. It's universal.

More flies with honey than vinegar. Some folks just don't realize how much easier life is with some empathy and good charisma.

I think I ordered the same .22 tub as you did. Date got pushed out to mid-2014. I guess I'll just leave it and see what happens. I would have not ordered had I know the expected back order date meant nothing. Maybe that is why they throw some date out there - to try and get fish on the line.

You may be surprised and get to him. Good luck either way. You'll get the order sooner or later sans a couple of price increases.

I orderd some .22 from Cabela's last month and the ad stated they were "in stock"...Waited and waited. Finally received an email 2 days ago stating they were on backorder and blah blah...I wrote their customer service and cancelled my order. My letter went something like this:

Ordered the .22 a month ago and the ad said "in stock". Now I get an email claiming they are on backorder. I'm cancelling my order. This was my first and last time ordering with Cabela's. Happy New Year!

Short and sweet. They wrote back and apologized. Whatever. I have plenty of .22 and can still find it from time to time.

I stopped ordering from them and mainly use Brownells now. Their shipping is cheaper, faster and have better customer service in my opinion.

I guess it is safe to say no matter how cliche it sounds good help is hard to find

I have had an order with cabelas for 22 pending since Dec 2012. It's for 3 bricks of federal so it's not just midway although I understand the frustration.
